Testimonials

Here's what recent college graduates and former interns have to say about their experience with Foster Farms.

"As an intern I came to work for Foster Farms in their Livingston Plant out of high school. I knew Foster Farms was a good place to work and had heard they were looking for college students to help with special projects. I wanted to get a degree in Business and I believed working in the plant would give me a good idea of how the production side of a company worked. I ended up interning in the plant for four summers while I finished college. Two years after I graduated from college I decided to return to Foster Farms. I have been at Foster Farms as a full-time employee for 14 months and now work as a SAP Software Analyst. The best thing about working for Foster Farms is that I enjoy going to work. It's a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that encourages open discussions and the expressions of new ideas. I constantly tell people that I would like to work for Foster Farms for the rest of my life."

"I have been with Foster Farms for over a year and currently work as a sales representative for the Foodservice Division. I heard about an opening for a Sales Representative and went through the interview process. After interviewing with Foster Farms, I knew it would be a great place to work because of the people I met. I was an intern for four summers. I worked in the Chicken Production Plant and worked as a Q.C. Representative, a Production Analyst and with the Production Accounting staff. The thing I like best about working at Foster Farms is the people. Everybody is treated equally and we all work as a team. There are many opportunities to grow within the company as the company continues to grow."

"I've been with Foster Farms for nine months and work in Corporate Human Resources as a HRIS/Compensation Analyst. I heard that Foster Farms was a great place to work while I was doing an internship at another company. I applied for the position because of Foster Farms' excellent reputation and the chance to get an entry-level position that would build a foundation for future growth. I really enjoy the people that I work with and the job that I do. I have been given so many opportunities to grow and learn. I've been involved in many projects, attended several training courses and my manager's door is always open for questions and discussions. I think that Foster Farms is a great place for someone that is graduating from college and looking for an entry-level position. There are always opportunities to learn new things and grow within the organization."

"I came to work at Foster Farms as a summer intern in the Retail Marketing Department. After completing my MBA at UC Davis, Foster Farms offered me a full-time position and I've now been with the company for almost two years. Since starting here as a Marketing Assistant I have been promoted twice and currently fulfill the responsibilities of an Associate Product Manager for Fresh Retail Chicken. Working in the Foster Farms Retail Marketing Department has given me an incredible opportunity to learn about all different aspects of marketing. I handle diverse projects including new product introductions, analysis of existing products, development and implementation of consumer promotions, packaging conversions, and much, much more. Beyond loving my job, I really enjoy the people that I work with and I look forward to coming to work everyday. Foster Farms is a great place to work."

"I was in search of an opportunity at a local company when a relative of mine suggested Foster Farms. I applied and was hired on as an intern in the I.S. Department. I've been with Foster Farms for 1½ years as an intern and 7 months as a full-time employee. I work in the I.S. department with the Business Systems Analysts. I was initially hired to create "band-aid" solutions (quick fixes) in the user community, but this quickly evolved into bigger and more important projects. I've been given the opportunity to learn about many different segments of the business. In the year that I've been here I've met many different people and traveled to almost all the facilities. My time here at Foster Farms has been very beneficial to my development in project management, customer service, and time management, and I am looking forward to future learning experiences."

"I began working at Foster Farms in June of 2000 as an I.S. intern in the Development Department. While interning in the Development Department, I had the opportunity to gain programming experience. At the same time I became an A+ Certified Computer Technician and a Microsoft Certified Professional. After leaving the Development Department I moved to the I.S. Service Center, largely as a result of becoming A+ certified. I have been in the Service Center ever since and have recently become a regular full-time employee in the I.S. Service Center. Working at Foster Farms has been a very rewarding experience. I consider myself fortunate to work alongside high caliber people that are very knowledgeable and have no problem sharing there knowledge and experience with a newcomer like myself. In my position I have the opportunity to meet and work with people in all areas of the company. What I find amazing is the friendliness that I encounter on a daily basis all over the company. From what I have seen in a year's time, Foster Farms is a company that is a happy place to work. I am truly grateful that I came across the opportunity for an internship at Foster Farms and am very pleased with the end result."
