Mushroom Swiss Turkey Burgers
You've never had such a flavorful burger! These patties are made with a variety of seasonings and spices, with mushrooms and onions also packing in great taste.. Prep Time: approx.  35 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 20 Minutes. Ready in: approx. 55 minutes .

Turkey Burgers:

2 pounds Foster Farms Ground Turkey
8 to 12 ounces mushrooms, finely chopped
2 small white onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons honey bbq sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons oregano
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon dried basil
3 leaves of fresh basil, minced
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons dried dulce (dried seaweed)
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
6 to 8 slices Swiss cheese

1. Combine turkey and 2/3 of chopped mushrooms and 2/3 of chopped onion in a bowl, and mix with clean hands. Add seasonings and spices and mix. Add honey bbq sauce and mix thoroughly. Make 6 to 8 patties of equal size.

2. Very lightly sprinkle breadcrumbs on patties and press crumbs into patties with finger, turn over and do the other side.

3. Saute remaining mushrooms and onions in butter or olive oil, saute approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Put aside and cover.

4. Heat grill or frying pan. Lighlty brush each patty with olive oil or lightly spray with a non-stick cooking spray.

5. Cook each patty approximately 9 minutes on each side. Add a slice of Swiss cheese and cook 1 more minute or until cheese melts.

6. Warm large buns on grill or in oven. Put turkey burgers on buns and pile high with sauteed mushrooms and onions.

7. Additional toppings: lettuce, onion and tomato are also delicious.
