Mechanic

Location: Fresno, CA | Shift: Swing | Status: Hourly | Job ID: #5313

Essential Job Functions

1. Tune-up gas and diesel engines.
2. Diagnose and repair gas and diesel clutches.
3. Perform all welding, soldering and fabrication.
4. Suspension repair and alignment.
5. Troubleshoot and repair air and hydraulic brake systems.
6. Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning systems.
7. Must be able to perform basic electrical diagnostic checks.
8. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

1. Demonstrated mechanical experience repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
2. Must have knowledge of basic electronic systems.
3. Must be able to solder and weld.
4. Must have proportionate number of tools to perform repairs.
5. Valid California Driver's license with acceptable DMV record and driving record.
6. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
7. Must have legible penmanship.
8. Must be able to work safely and help maintain a safe work environment.
9. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to be on feet continuously throughout the shift.
10. Must be able to crouch and bend while performing mechanical tasks.
11. Must be able to work occasional holidays and weekends.
