Health Insurance

Foster Farms provides affordable insurance plans for our employees. We have several health, dental, vision and prescription drug plans to help keep our employees and their families in good health. The company also provides basic life insurance.


Eligible employees may set aside a portion of their paychecks for their retirement on a before-tax basis. Participation in the 401(k) begins immediately. Foster Farms will match 50 cents on first 3% eligible employees contribute.

Pension Plan

The Foster Farms Group Pension Plan will help take care of your financial needs when you retire at age 65 or later, by providing you (and your spouse if you are married) with a continuing income. Employees with five or more years of service are eligible.

Performance Incentive Plan

In addition to competitive salaries, our exempt employees are eligible to participate in the Corporate Bonus Plan. Bonuses are paid in March of the following year.

Employee Discounts

Our employees receive discounts on items from the Foster Farms Logo Shop such as shirts, hats and Foster Imposter merchandise. A number of products the company produces are also available to our employees at a discount. In addition, employees are eligible for discounts at the following businesses: X Plan, Gateway, Cingular Wireless, Avis Car Rental and GE Appliances.

Credit Union Membership

The Rolling F Credit Union assists members and their families in meeting financial needs through low-cost loans and high dividends on savings. Other financial services are also offered.

Educational Assistance

At Foster Farms, we recognize that additional education and self-development can better prepare employees for present job responsibilities and also help them prepare for future assignments. The company will reimburse the employee's tuition, parking, and other admission fees when the employee has successfully completed company-approved courses taken at accredited institutions. Books are also eligible for reimbursement.

Long-Term Disability

Exempt and clerical employees are eligible to participate in the Long Term Disability plan. The company pays a base plan (up to 5 years or age 65). Employee may "buy-up" as well.

Short-Term Disability

The company pays short-term disability. Exempt and clerical employees are eligible for this benefit.

Employee Service Awards

We recognize our employees with Service Awards that honor their accomplishments over the years. It's one of the many ways we show how much we value our people and their skills. The awards are given every five years.

Foster Bucks

Employees are given Foster Bucks for a job well done and may be substituted for cash at the Foster Farms Livingston Café or Logo Shop.
