WHAT
TO EXPECT
The
3rd Annual Foster Farms Fresh Chicken Cooking Contest is guaranteed
to be packed full of excitement. All recipes submitted by June 3,
2012 will be reviewed and narrowed down to the top five semifinalists
from each state - five from California, five from Oregon and five
from Washington. Semifinalists will be notified by the end of July
2012. In each state the five semifinalists will be transported to
a regional event located in their state during the month of August
or September. At these events the semifinalists will be asked to
prepare their recipe and present to a panel of distinguished judges.
The judges will then select two regional finalists – two from
California, two from Oregon and two from Washington - to move to
the next stage of the contest. All six regional finalists will later
be transported to the Napa Valley in California to compete in the
final event at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone.
The
final event will be held on September 28, 2012. Each regional finalist
will prepare their recipe and present it to a panel of distinguished
judges. The judges will ultimately select a single grand prize winner
from the six regional finalists. The grand prize winner will receive
$10,000, a one-year supply of locally grown Foster Farms fresh chicken
and will be asked to represent Foster Farms in various promotional
opportunities. The 2012 Grand Prize Winner may have the chance to
visit local television stations to promote their winning recipe
and may have the opportunity to participate in other events. To
