Feedmill Mechanic

Location: Traver, CA | Shift: Graveyard | Status: Hourly | Job ID: 22659

Essential Job Functions

1. Perform all phases of maintenance, including electrical mechanical systems i.e. fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing required preventative maintenance.
2. Maintain required records, report in writing any uncorrected mechanical/electrical defects and replacement parts to the supervisor.
3. Direct/instruct employees still in training.
4. Other duties as assigned, including general cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required.
5. Coordinate equipment downtime, services, and problems with area operators.
Detect potential mechanical/electrical problems and planning for repairs.

Requirements

1. Must be familiar with all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems and mechanically, must be able to make dissections and judgments on short notice.
2. Must be able to: climb ladders and stairs, work from ladders/scaffolds, work in pits, bend, kneel and walk frequently and lift 50 pounds.
3. Have knowledge of mill flow patterns, dry as well as liquid and be familiar with the proper lubricating technique for all mill equipment.
4. Able to perform routine services, troubleshoot, repair all mill equipment, be able to weld and fabricate to repair all mill equipment and installation of new equipment as needed.
